What Our Adventurers Say

I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Rachel Soudakoff and she gave me a wonderful private tour on my recent trip to New Zealand. She organized tours with interpreters and showed me and my travel companion off the beaten paths wonders of New Zealand. We kayaked to a cool glow worm cave and a dipped in a secret hot spring. She is so professional and makes travelling to New Zealand stress free. So highly recommended!

Stephanie Muendel-Moehr - Freiburg, Germany

We had great tour guides! They shared a plethora of information and interesting tidbits and history of New Zealand. The itinerary was great too - we got to see the best of New Zealand. Highly recommend Deaf Adventures - you won’t be sorry! :)

Hetty Rothenberg - California, United States

The Te Papa Museum was the most compelling I’ve ever been to, and the guides were AMAZING. We were so impressed with how intelligent, intellectual, and outgoing our guides were. We loved their knowledge and their generosity in sharing it with us. We are overflowing with gratitude and are Deaf Adventure advocates for life!

Jessica Kennedy - Minnesota, United States

The trip around the South Island was phenomenal! When I met Rachel Soudakoff on the first day of the tour, she exuded friendliness, self-confidence, and passion for life. The tour was full-on and packed with jaw-dropping sights and activities. Going on an accessible adventure with eighteen other deaf signers was a priceless experience. You won’t be disappointed, so see you at Deaf Adventures!

Kevin Stokes - Christchurch, New Zealand

The adventure in the North and South Islands of New Zealand was a rich experience, including the different landforms and vegetation, which were so magnificent. As travel guides, Rachel S. and Rachel B. were CHAMP with courteous and professional demeanors. I enjoyed! Thanks!

Don Galloway - Maryland, United States

We were very happy with both Rachels' service. Both of them are friendly and trustworthy. We had a good time as Rachel provided us with extensive knowledge about the places we visited. They showed me a lot of my own country that I had never seen before. The trip went smoothly without any issues. I was very happy with the experience I got and would recommend going with Deaf Adventures.

Peter & Carolyn Berry - Christchurch, New Zealand

Wow where do I start about Deaf Adventures? I could write a long essay. Both Rachels are awesome guides. They both made sure everyone was doing good and having fun. This was a lifetime experience that I'll never forget. I had so much fun meeting and making new friends and spending a full weekend using NZSL, laughing and joking around. I have learnt so much and I'm hungry for another trip already!

Emmie Bensley - Christchurch, New Zealand

We both highly recommend Deaf Adventures. Both guides have strong communication skills, enthusiasm, punctuality, and a great sense of direction. As Rachel is passionate about travel, we feel lucky to have her as our guide as the tour was well organized and filled with wonderful sights.
