With a rich mix of modern cities, historic landmarks, and stunning northern landscapes, this Japan journey explores the country from Tokyo to Hokkaido. Travel by Shinkansen, ferry, and van as you experience vibrant urban neighborhoods, serene temples, and scenic coastal and countryside views. Highlights include a cruise through the iconic Matsushima Bay, cherry blossoms in Hirosaki, and cultural experiences in Aomori and Sapporo. Along the way, connect with Japan’s Deaf community through Deaf-owned restaurants and social spaces, while enjoying regional cuisine, historic sites, and unforgettable natural scenery. The journey concludes with a scenic overnight ferry and a final gathering in Tokyo before returning home with lasting memories

Itinerary

Apr 10
Meet at our hotel in Tokyo at noon. Visit a deaf ramen restaurant. Afternoon orientation will be hosted at Deaf Space, then Akihabara. Visit Ginza’s Chuo-dori Street. Stay in Tokyo 2 nights.

Apr 11
Visit the Zojo-ji Temple and Tokyo Tower. Meet robots at a café. Visit Shibuya and Ebisu. Optional visit to a Deaf-owned Bar in the evening.

Apr 12
Take the Shinkansen to Sendai. Visit Zuihoden and Sendai Castle Ruins. Stop at the City of Tree on Jozenji-dori Avenue. Stay in Sendai for 2 nights.

Apr 13
Enjoy the morning Asaichi market in Sendai. Visits Matsushima. Sightseeing cruise in Matushima, one of Japan's three most scenic views. Free time for shopping and exploring the island. Return to the hotel.

Apr 14
Shinkansen stops at Kakunodate. Visits the Kakunodate Samurai Residence Street. Enjoy the river view of Somei-yoshino Cherry Blossom Trees. Transport to Akita City for
hotel check in. Visit Senshū Park in the evening. Stay in Akita City for the night.

Apr 15
Morning Shinkansen to Morioka. Walk through the Morioka Castle Ruins. Experience the Iwate Wanko Soba at lunchtime. Visits the Kamasada’s cast-iron craft. Stay in Iwate for 2 nights.

Apr 16
Chartered Bus to the Kitakami Tenshochi, famous for a long tunnel of Cherry‐Blossom. Then, transport to Geibikei Gorge for a boat ride. Return to Iwate for the night.

Apr 17
Shinkansen to Hirosaki. Visit the Hirosaki Park (cherry blossoms), Hirosaki Castle, Fujita Memorial Garden, and Tsugaru Clan Neputa Village. Check into our hotel and stay in Hirosaki for 2 nights.

Apr 18
Visit Sannai-Maruyama Historical Site, enjoy a seafood rice bowl at Aomori Gyosai Center, and tour the Nebuta Museum WA RASSE, then A-Factory Shopping. Return to our hotel for the night.

Apr 19
Flight to Sapporo. Chartered Bus to visit the Hill of the Buddha (Makomanai Takino Cemetery), then the Sapporo TV Tower, and Sapporo Beer Museum. Stay in Sapporo for 1 night.

Apr 20
Chartered Bus to visit the Noboribetsu Jigoku Valley. Travel to Tomakomai Port. Board our overnight ferry, which includes a farewell dinner.

Apr 21
Enjoy scenic coastal views of northern Japan from the ferry. Arrive in Oarai and take an expressway to visit Ibaraki’s Hitachi Seaside Park. Then straight to Tokyo Station. Check into our hotel in Tokyo for the night.

Apr 22
Check out and depart from either airports in Tokyo.

This does not cover any adventures outside South Korea, or any personal travel cancellations, postponements, interruptions, or any medical expenses that are not caused by our adventures. For this reason, we highly encourage you to purchase travel insurance (e.g. Allianz or Travelex).
Cancellation Policy

We understand that sometimes cancellations are unavoidable.

If you cancel at least 90 days before your adventure start date, we will refund you in full (minus the deposit). Cancellations less than 90 days before adventure start date cannot be refunded.

In the event that you need to cancel, please contact us as soon as you can.
