The French Polynesia islands encompass many tiny paradise islands, including the famous islands of Tahiti and Bora Bora. Although they are most famous for their beautiful blue waters, there are many interesting things to see on the island such as touring vanilla plantation farms, learning about the island culture and art, and hiking through jungles. There are also many opportunities for scuba diving or snorkeling to see colorful marine life and coral reefs. Enjoy dining at fresh & local seafood restaurants or even eating the seafood on the beach with flaming torches and watching the Tahitians dancing. It is a timeless and enjoyable experience in the beautiful French Polynesian islands!

Price is $14,000 USD per cabin. Each cabin can accommodate up to two people.

A non-refundable $7,000 USD deposit ($3,500 per person) is required to reserve your cabin.

To reserve your cabin, please email us to arrange your deposit. The deposit payment can either be made via Zelle to info@deafadventures.nz (no fees) or via credit card with a 3.5% surcharge.

Full payment is due 90 days before the adventure start date.

Itinerary

July 10
Board our catamaran in Uturoa, Raiatea at 6:00 p.m. We will have an introduction meeting and go out for dinner.

July 11 - 12
Set sail to Taha’a to Pearl Farm with its pearl divers. Group
tour involving learning all about pearls. Explore the
Vanilla Farm with a guide or hike through the rainforest
to spot Tiare Apetahi, a very rare flower.

July 13 - 14
Set sail to Bora Bora. Anchor at Motu Toopua, Bora Bora.
Enjoy swimming and snorkeling. Take a mooring at the
Bloody Mary’s restaurant and marvel at their huge list
of famous guests.

July 15 - 16
Move to the east side of lagoon (Bora Bora) , where you can swim with turtles, rays, sharks, and fish. In the afternoon, sail
the southern shore of the island and explore the
magnificent coral reef.

July 17 - 18
Set sail to the east side of Taha’a and explore the amazing coral reef of Passe Toahotu. Stay on board for dinner.

July 19 - 22
Set sail to Huahine and visit Fare, where you will find a warm
local welcome in this Polynesian village. Browse the
boutiques and get a bite to eat in the small restaurants.

July 23
Set sail back to Uturoa, Raiatea. Sleep aboard the catamaran.

July 24
After breakfast, take group pictures, wave farewell, and disembark by 9:00 a.m.

  • Deaf Adventures has liability insurance that covers accidents and injuries that occur during our adventures ONLY within New Zealand. This does not cover any adventures overseas, or any personal travel cancellations, postponements, interruptions, or any medical expenses that are not caused by our adventures. For this reason, we highly encourage you to purchase travel insurance (e.g. Allianz or Travelex).
Cancellation Policy

We understand that sometimes cancellations are unavoidable.

If you cancel at least 90 days before your adventure start date, we will refund you in full (minus the deposit). Cancellations less than 90 days before adventure start date cannot be refunded.

In the event that you need to cancel, please contact us as soon as you can.

Based in Largo, Florida, the team operates sailing adventures worldwide, including in France, Italy, British Virgin Islands, and more. The team consists of three Deaf certified sailing captains working alongside a wider team of experienced Deaf mates. Their mission is to provide sign language users with adventure and fun by sailing on a sailboat on coastal waters, meeting new people, and making lasting memories.
